Languages of Body
 

<The Language of the Body>, series must trace back to the very beginning of human history. As we all know, language did not exist for early humans. They conveyed their thoughts to others through their bodies, through the sounds they made, or through the pictures they drew.

 

With the development of civilization came language, facilitating smooth and convenient communication between people. Furthermore, in modern society, language has transcended mere communication, becoming a powerful means for individuals to appeal to others by speaking and writing eloquently and logically.

 

However, this convenient and refined 'scientific' language is often distorted and over-packaged by humans; it is used to lie to others and to conceal honest thoughts and feelings. I wonder if, because of this, many people have gradually lost sight of their true selves.

 

During a period of reflection on human existence and eventual disappearance, I expressed these ideas by repeatedly drawing and erasing the human form. From the moment we are born, we exist—living alongside others, constantly doing, thinking, and feeling, until we eventually fade away. The emotions within those fleeting moments can be both joyful and despairing, simultaneously fulfilling and empty.

<Nude Form> is my honest attempt to shed the pretense of language and confront the fundamental human form and the primal emotions hidden within it.
